Arrests, FBI investigation follow pro-trans radicals surrounding mother holding a baby at Christian group’s Seattle rally

SEATTLE, WA— Radical pro-transgender rioters violently disrupting a peaceful rally by a Christian group outside Seattle’s City Hall on Tuesday were filmed menacingly surrounding a mother and her three young children, with a man believed to be the children’s father seen holding their hands as they cried hysterically, according to reports. Police later arrived to separate the family from the screaming leftist protestors verbally accosting them.

The demonstration, entitled the “Rattle in Seattle,” was orchestrated by a group known as MayDay USA, according to The New York Post, which is self-described as a pro-life group working to defend the traditional family.

The same group held a concert and rally at Cal Anderson Park, which was attacked by violent Antifa members, leading to a large response from Seattle Police and 23 arrests.

According to an announcement from FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino on Tuesday, an investigation has been requested into the alleged “targeted violence” against the Christian group after the rally, which saw eight people arrested on assault charges per the Seattle PD. “We have asked our team to fully investigate allegations of targeted violence against religious groups at the Seattle concert,” Bongino posted on X. “Freedom of religion isn’t a suggestion.”

As previously reported by Law Enforcement Today, the incident prompted severe criticism from the Seattle Police Officer’s Guild after Seattle’s Antifa-supporting Democrat Mayor Bruce Harrell laid blame for the melee with police on “far-right” demonstrators and “anarchists” allegedly “promoting beliefs that are inherently opposed to our city’s values,” ostensibly referring to pro-life, pro-family values and Christianity.

The Tuesday protest at the City Hall complex in response to Harrell’s public statements rapidly devolved into a heated face-off between the MayDay USA protestors and leftist counterdemonstrators.

The organizers said in a statement to the Post, “Following the MayDay USA worship event at Cal Anderson Park on Saturday, Mayor Harrell had the audacity to issue a press release blaming Christians for the premediated violence of Antifa which resulted in the hospitalization of Seattle Police Department personnel and the arrest of 23 Antifa agitators.”

“Under Mayor Harrell’s leadership, the city of Seattle has continued its spiral into lawlessness and dysfunction while the First Amendment rights of citizens to peacefully assemble has been disregarded,” the group added.

In a statement reported by The Tennessee Star, the Mayday USA leaders said, “In our peaceful assembly, we have met the resistance of those who despise truth and seek to silence any voice that does not agree with their worldview. Nevertheless, we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. Let it be known: truth does not retreat in the face of hostility.”
