Urgent: United States Marine, pro-police candidate Bill Spadea is our choice for NJ Governor

Trenton, NJ: It is undeniable – many law enforcement officers across the United States are simply nonpolitical. When it comes to deciding who to vote for come election season, many police officers – historically – aren’t always entirely sure.

Although, these last few years under the Biden administration have made it very easy to decide who to vote for. Why would any law enforcement officer or supporter vote for the Democratic party after they demonized and villainized the entire LEO profession?

Simple – they wouldn’t and didn’t.

However, historically that decision is not always clear. In fact, many officers favored the Democratic ticket, especially in New Jersey where it was traditionally pro-union. But under the Biden administration, even the current NJ governor Murphy’s administration, they made it impossible as LEOs to support the Democratic party.

That’s why an overwhelming amount of LEOs and their supporters cast their vote for Donald Trump last November. The decision was clear because law enforcement became a hot political topic.

Many law enforcement advocates collectively agree that the political pendulum swings steadily from the left to the right side of the aisle, all while the LEO community sits in between.

That was proven relatively recently.

New Jersey’s Chris Christie Era

In 2009, Republican Chris Christie was voted into office as the New Jersey governor.

It wasn’t long after he took office in 2010 that he scapegoated the police and fire pension as a major problem of New Jersey’s economic woes.

He then pursued economic pension reforms that drastically changed the police and fire retirement system. His actions ultimately made him quite unpopular among the New Jersey police and firefighter community.

This example is what makes LEOs wishy-washy over political figures and politics in general. And who can blame them?

But Bill Spadea is different.

Bill Spadea – Not Your Average Politician

In June of 2024, long-time popular New Jersey radio host Bill Spadea decided to run for New Jersey governor with a Republican ticket.

As an LEO supporter, and the owner of The 1776 Project (which owns the largest police news outlet in the world, including Law Enforcement Today, The Police Tribune, Blue Lives Matter and more), I was absolutely stoked to hear this news.

Bill Spadea, much like Donald Trump, is not your average politician. He is a supporter of small business, is a conservative personality, believes in common-sense politics, and most importantly, has been supporting the law enforcement community long before he decided to run for governor.

This is what makes him special.

Most politicians simply “go where the wind blows” and support whatever agenda will give them the best chance at election regardless of the subject. That is why so many politicians have been called out as “flip-flopping” because they did a 180-degree turn on an important political subject.

But Bill Spadea has been supporting the law enforcement community long before it became an important political topic for republican candidates everywhere. That’s how we know his support is genuine, not simply a tagline.

Bill Spadea’s reasons are simple. He understands the importance and value of law and order and how essential that is for a thriving society. Without it, society would collapse into chaos.

Another reason we support Bill Spadea comes from his experience serving in the Armed Forces as a United States Marine. Law enforcement officers and veterans are cut from the same cloth and were born to serve others.

That’s why you see so many red hash marks on police officers’ sleeves – it signifies the officer served in the military. They are one and the same.

If you like a political candidate who is like Donald Trump and “not your average politician”, then you need to support Bill Spadea.

We know he will continue to support law enforcement when he is voted into office. That’s exactly what New Jersey needs and exactly why we endorse him as the next New Jersey governor.

So, New Jerseyans – get out and vote! Our law enforcement community needs it.
